Apple & Fig Tart Tatin
Makes 6 Servings  
 
Ingredients:
6pcs Granny Smith Apples
1cup Whole Dried Figs(soaked in hot water)
½ cup White Sugar
1tbsp Cinnamon
112"x8" sheet of pie dough or puff pastry

Method
:

Peel, core and slice apples. In a bowl toss apples, sugar and cinnamon together. This recipe can be prepared either as individual tarts or one large tart.

In an oven proof baking dish rub the bottom of the dish with whole butter and arrange the apples in the bottom. Slice the figs and place on top. On top of this place the pastry dough and brush with egg wash and spinkle with a bit of sugar and cinnamon. Bake in a 350F oven for approx 30 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly and turn out onto a plate. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
