Golfing in Paradise
line
December 2007

This year we decided to keep our feet on the ground and visit our own province. We packed up our van with golf clubs, a cooler, golf clubs, luggage, a box of groceries, and, of course, our golf clubs.

You guessed it! We were going golfing. We booked a stay at the Paradise Canyon Golf Resort in Lethbridge, Alberta.

We took four days of wandering from golf course to golf course that took us through the southern part of British Columbia from Vancouver to the Okanagan and into the Rockies at Fernie. We arrived at our destination resort on the Monday afternoon after stopping for groceries.

A dip in the pool and a walk around the area was enjoyed after having a sumptuous dinner at the clubhouse.

We played golf five out of the seven days we stayed there and wished that we had booked 2 weeks.

Prairie view in Lethbridge

High level bridge in Lethbridge, Alberta

Lethbridge is a vibrant prairie city with much to offer it's visitors. When we left the following Monday we had experienced only a small sampling of what was available. The trip home was full of adventure as we had time to stop whenever and wherever we thought we would like.

A hint for that type of holiday is to take your time and stop to experience the things you read on the signs but drove by last time. Knowing you have an RCI destination is always a reward worth waiting for.
