Mexico and Orlando
line
September 2006

We recently used points to take a family vacation, and had both negative and positive experiences. We had decided to squeeze in Mexico And Disney World into a two week getaway.

Prior to departure we had booked a week in Puerto Vallarta at the Villa Del Mar to start this holiday, and had decided to take advantage of the All-In-One feature at this property.

Upon arrival, and following the instruction we had been given prior to departure, I attempted to pay for the All-In-One. Imagine my surprise when they would not honour the price they had quoted to RCI. They wanted an extra $440.00!! On top of that the restrictions on the menu were ludicrous.

Declining this service we proceeded to the suite. The odour was decidedly unpleasant. It smelled musty and mouldy at the same time. Airing out the room did not help. The next morning I found alternative accommodation elsewhere and the rest of the week was wonderful.

The accommodations at Fairfield Orlando Cypress Palms (RCI) for our second week was great. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean with no odour, and the staff were helpful. What a contrast to the start of the holiday!

Oh, Disney World and Universal Studios were an amazing adventure. Our twelve year old dragged us on every roller coaster in every park. Whew!

We are busy planning our next RCI vacation, and can hardly wait.
