Concrete and steel are climbing upwards every day at Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa as the foundations take shape, supported by a massive grid of rebar.
Over $2 million dollars of steel is being used to reinforce the concrete at Parkside. Farmer Construction has made excellent progress with the meticulous detailed excavation.
This process has been very technical, due to the solid rock, and proximity to adjacent buildings and the intensive blasting.
The addition of a crane on September 29, 2006 was visible from many points in the downtown area. Although it put a temporary crimp in local traffic, the assembly of our crane is a key factor in moving construction forward.
We are updating construction images weekly now. View them online at: www.parksidevictoria.com/photogallery-construction.shtml
Building "B" inventory which is closest to St Joseph's, will be released October 2006. Call 1.877.444.4144 to place your name on list for a limited amount of whole and quarter interests.
Meanwhile, farther up Vancouver Island at Pacific Shores Resort & Spa, construction is also moving quickly. These comfortable and luxuriously finished vacation homes are now fully framed and should be at lock-up stage by November of 2006.
