What does Parafango mean?
May 2006

The term Parafango means, literally, paraffin (a soft, soothing type of wax) and fango (Spanish sea mud).

A rare treatment, this wrap uses a combination of paraffin wax and fango mud.

Parafango is one of AquaTerre's most popular treatments for both it's pleasant feel and it's soothing effect.

The Spanish sea mud is mineral-rich due to its volcanic origin. When combined with the heat and moisture of paraffin wax, the mixture has excellent therapeutic properties.

In addition to relaxation and stress reduction, recipients of Parafango treatments report relief from:

  • Sports injuries
  • Degenerative rheumatism
  • Polyarthritis
  • Chronic inflammation

Accompanied by a full-body massage and used repetitively, Parafango is also reported to help reduce cellulite.
