The benefits of green tea and products containing this popular leaf have been a hot topic in recent years.
So what's the scoop?
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says that it is highly unlikely that green tea reduces the risk of cancer, specifically, breast and colon cancers.
|
Then what does it do?
Green tea leaves are not fermented before drying and retain more natural benefits. Although it does contain caffeine, green tea is still considered to be a great source of antioxidants, which are thought to protect cells from damage caused by oxidation (a reaction with oxygen).

Regardless of whether or not this tea actually prevents disease, drinkers often report heightened wellness and stress relief - a perfect spa practice!
