Versatility! That's what we were looking for when we became Aviawest Owners.

We live on Vancouver Island plus we wanted to do more two and three night destinations than long term vacations.

Our first booking was at "The Sweet Life" in Kelowna, B.C. What a great way to start!

We decided to drive from Vancouver, B.C. to Princeton, then through Highway 3 "Aspen Grove" with all the rural settings and gorgeous autumn colours to the
Okanagan Connector.

As you head out of Kelowna watch for the 70 ton Sailing Ship as you approach the entrance to the Resort. If amenities are high on your priority list then this "Destinations at Holiday Park Resort" has them all.

Okanagan Orchard

We booked a studio with a mini kitchen which had everything we needed to make gourmet meals. Plus a Jacuzzi tub. It also gave us more bang for our points.

Our Studio Unit was close to the Adult Activity Centre where one could play pool, darts, take advantage of the library, Internet or, as we did, spend time in the outdoor hot tubs. There was also the Indoor Pool, Hot Tub, and Sauna area. If you would like to see how to landscape an RV lot this is the place to go. There are 500 RV sites in this vast well established acreage gated community.

We would probably take our clubs the next time to take in the 6 hole golf course that you could play all day for $5.00. Just watch out for the giant bunnies! We would definitely book again. The Okanagan has so much to offer.

Our next Jaunt is to the West Coast of Vancouver Island. We will be driving to destinations within 5 hours from Vancouver in March and May. Get creative and explore what is just down the road!

See you on the road,

Jill and Merle Schwandt
