Music in Mazatlan

My husband and I are brand new RCI members. I must admit that although we were very excited about the possibility of travelling all over the world with the point system, we were also a bit apprehensive and nervous about whether this would suit us. We decided that the best way to learn about RCI was just to dive in right away and try it out.

The "Inn at Mazatlan" resort was the nicest hotel we've ever stayed it.  We were assigned to a gorgeous penthouse suite with a living room dining room area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a beautiful bedroom with gorgeous woodwork walls and hand-made heavy wood furniture and full two bathrooms all for only 8000 points.

From the living room, which had a solid wall of windows, and from the large balcony planted with bougainvillea, we had a spectacular view of the ocean and off-shore islands.

All the facilities were excellent and everyone was so helpful to us, which made us feel so comfortable, well taken care of, and safe. The city of Mazatlan has much to offer as well.

Our fondest memories will be of sitting in an outdoor cafe in the old central plaza listening to a musician who sang and played the guitar beautifully. Listening to Mexican music,  while sampling spicy prawn dishes under a blue sky, was pretty special, especially when we reminded ourselves that everyone was snowed-in back home. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we now know that we are going to have a lot of fun with RCI. We can't wait to book our next trip.
