Surprise! We're going to Mexico!

We are new owners at Pacific Shores and with RCI and took our first vacation in December. Our vacation took us to Los Cabos, Mexico for one week.

We kept the trip a surprise for our two teenagers - a very tough task indeed. We were leaving on a Monday morning, so during the weekend, had to get their suitcases packed secretly.

Our son's was easy - he did not miss any of his clothes for the 2 days they were packed in a suitcase and locked in the trunk of my car. He simply had fewer clothes lying on his bedroom floor!!

Our daughter's was a little bit more difficult. Her planned outing on Sunday afternoon was cancelled, so at 9:50 pm I was panicking. She was watching a television show until 10:00 so I had 10 minutes. I raced into her room and grabbed things, threw them into the linen closet, peered around corners and repeated this 3 or 4 times. Mission accomplished!! Both suitcases were packed and placed under the Christmas tree.

At 4:15 am, we got up, woke the kids, and told them we were off to Mexico. Disbelief, shock, surprise, happiness and then reality when about 10 hours later we landed in sunny, hot Los Cabos!
