Check in for Aviawest guests will now be handled on-site between 9am and 8pm in room 703B. To avoid a call-out fee, guests arriving after 8pm must call ahead to make arrangements for a lock box.

The highway winds through Vancouver Island's scenic mountain range, as well as historic Cathedral Grove Park, and past Sproat Lake. Allow 2.5-3 hours for this drive, and sightseeing stops along the way. Due to the mountain terrain, in seasonally stormy weather, allow extra time to reach your destination.

From Parksville, exit at the sign for Highway 4 (Port Alberni), also known as the Pacific Rim Highway. At the end of Highway 4, turn left towards Ucluelet (8km). Upon arrival in town you will be on Peninsula Road. Just after the Petro Canada gas station, turn left onto Seaplane Base Road. Follow this road past the campground, round to the right and down a small hill.

At the bottom of the hill turn right into Tauca Lea by the Sea resort grounds (signed). Pass the resort office and turn right at the yield sign. Continue to the last accommodation block on the left hand side and go to unit 703.
