Guest Services Representative
Location: Parksville, BC
Providing the first smile to everyone who comes through the door and being the last smile our owners and guests remember about a visit, the impact that one of our Guest Service Representatives can have is massive! There is a real opportunity here for a successful candidate to come in and enhance every experience at Aviawest's flagship property, Pacific Shores Resort & Spa.
Acting as our first-line of communication with guests, owners and prospective owners, Aviawest is looking for super-friendly and well-organized all-star to join our team. If these hyphens describe you, please apply today.
Duties:
- Warmly greeting guests during both check-in and check-out process
- Assisting guests with inquiries and assisting with tourist information
- Answering telephones and directing calls
- Making reservations (RCI points, weeks, resort reservations etc.)
- Accepting payments
- Running daily reports
- Liaising with all departments to ensure resort operations run smoothly
Skills/Abilities:
- Amazing attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills and telephone etiquette
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to comprehend and explain complex information
- Attention to detail, follow up and investigation
- Numerical proficiency
- Ability to maintain composure under stress
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Available to work day, evening and weekend shifts
- Previous customer service experience necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Hospitality education or experience is desirable
- Fluency in a foreign language is desirable
Hours: Full-time, part-time hours available
Wage: $12/hour to start.
