Taste of Oceanside 2011
If you're lucky enough to be travelling through Oceanside this Saturday, April 16, 2011, set aside some time during your evening to attend the Taste of Oceanside at the Parksville Community and Conference Center between 6:30pm and 9pm.
For the fifth year, the Rotary Club of Parksville is putting on this spectacular fundraising event that has become a real fan favorite with locals and visitors alike.
Tasty tidbits from some of the hottest restaurants in Parksville, Nanoose Bay and Qualicum Beach will be available for sampling.
Our own Landing West Coast Grill will be representing the Aviawest family with marvelous morsels to pamper your palette, including Wood-Grilled Tiger Prawns with Tomato and Balsamic Salsa, Alder Smoked Pork Ribs with Cola BBQ Sauce and Wild Mushroom Risotto.
Other local favorites that will be representing Oceanside in lip-smacking style are Little Qualicum Cheeseworks and Karma Coffee.
Admission to this yummy event is only $15 and food and beverage coupons are $1 a piece. You would likely spend more than that going out for dinner and not have sumptuous samples laid out before you like you will at the Taste of Oceanside!
Monies raised from this charity fundraiser go towards the Rotary Club’s charitable works both locally in Oceanside as well as internationally. Each participant this year will supply up to three different tempting treats for attendees to sample, each sample costing between 1 and 3 coupons.
From pulled pork to prawns, the selection of gastronomic delights is going to be amazing. Be sure to leave room for delicious desserts, too!
Only 550-600 attendees are allowed, so purchasing your ticket NOW is advised. Tickets are available at NR Insurance and Coast Realty in Qualicum Beach, Close To You and Marlin Travel in Parksville, as well as from any member of the Parksville Rotary. Participating restaurants will also have tickets available.
