We're pleased to welcome Chris Stewart, who started last week in the role of Hotel Sales Manager.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Business, Tourism and Hospitality Management from La Trobe University and also completed the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program at Camosun College.

In addition to his sales skills, his experience in the operations side of the hospitality business, including roles overseeing front desk operations, inventory and distribution channel management, reservations teams, F&B and lodging operations, will provide him with a good understanding of both the needs of our guests and the complexities involved in successfully delivering on guest requests.

We were pleased to welcome back Howard Lu to Aviawest this week in the role of Website Administrator.

If the name sounds familiar, Howard joined Aviawest in 2009 as our Website Co-op student while working towards his Bachelor of Science degree.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Farkas to the position of Guest Services Leader at Parkside Victoria Resort and Spa.

Andrea joined Parkside in February of last year as a Guest Service Agent, and soon after was promoted to Guest Services Supervisor. Through her dedication and commitment to delivering exemplary service to our guests as well as her positive attitude, Andrea has remained an integral member of our Guest Services Team.

Andrea brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having worked for such brands as Four Seasons Hotels in both Las Vegas and Whistler. She has her degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, and her masters in Early Childhood Education and Development also from UNLV.

Please join me in congratulating Andrea on her new role with Aviawest.

I am pleased to announce that Claude Montreuil will be joining the Maintenance team at Parkside.

He starts on August 9th and will be shadowing various team members for the first week or so, so please make him feel welcome and say hi!

Congrats to Trina White who had a little baby boy on August 4th at 1:50pm.

His weight was 7 lbs and 2 oz, which was about two pounds smaller than they had all guessed!

Trina said it took them three days to name him, but finally chose Riley Thomas Ware. Trina says she is doing just fine and will come by in the next few weeks to show him off!
