This Is It!
I have booked the theatre for this Thursday, May 27 for Michael Jackson's This Is It as I have a group of women I am working with right now and one of the moms is bringing a couple of 12-year-olds who love MJ.
In celebration of Chantal Babin's Free the Children Fundraiser, "Children helping Children," 12-year-old Zoe has asked me to do a Toonie 50/50 draw after the showing of This Is It to give to the fundraiser.
So...
1. If any staff member wishes to buy a ticket for a toonie, please let me know at ext. 8401 (we will write purchasers' names on the back of the tickets so that we can let the kids know who won, if it's not one of them) :-)
2. There are approximately 10 or 12 seats available for staff wishing to attend the screening! Please RSVP to me if you would like to join in on the fun!
Michael Jackson's This Is It is a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the performer as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts at London's 02 Arena.
Chronicling the months from April through June 2009, this film was produced with the full support of Michael Jackson's Estate and drew from more than one hundred hours of behind-the-scenes footage featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs from the show.
In raw and candid detail, Micheal Jackson's This Is It captures the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius and great artist at work as he createed and perfected his planned final London shows.
